Actor/Writer Herbie J Pilato (author of the Bewitched, Kung Fu and Bionic books) commenced his career as a page for NBC in the Big '80s, during which Johnny Carson was still the King of Late Night as the host of The Tonight Show. It was a big deal for a page to have the chance to play "Stump the Band" with Carson, the Tonight Show Band, and the audience. Herbie J had his chance - right before he ended his contracted 18 months as a page - in December 1985 (which is when this clip is from.)
