Mayo was taken third by Minnesota.It's the first time in draft history, that the first 3 picks were college freshmen.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------An NBA trade Thursday saw the New Jersey Nets sending Richard Jefferson to the Milwaukee Bucks for forwards Yi Jianlian (jee-EHN' lee-EHN'') and Bobby Simmons. Jefferson averaged 22.6 points last year and is NJ's second all-time leading point-getter.In a proposed deal Thursday night,the Indiana Pacers send their first-round draft pick, Jerryd Bayless, to the Portland TrailBlazers for number 13 pick Brandon Rush, Jarrett Jack and Josh McRoberts.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A shocker at Wimbledon as former champion Maria Sharapova was ousted by the 154th ranked player in the world.The number three seed upset by fellow Russian Alla Kudryavtseva (koo-dray-EHT'-soh-vah) 6-2, 6-4 in second-round action.
