I dont know why Australians have been labelled as racist and bigots. Some of them are yes. But the ones i met were actually very friendly. I think it may be that Aussies tend to be very direct which may come across as rude (or racist) to foreigners.

Running water? Last time i was in Aus there was a huge drought in Victoria and people were told not to use the shower. India has a poverty problem but it has the second fastest growing economy in the world (after China). Aus is kept running by all the foreigners there.
