A parent with any common sense would never let their child slip through. Educated or not educated, privilaged or not, a child can sucumb to these no matter what. Unfortunately that is the world we live in.

Yeah im aware the Maori are making an effort,but its not just the Maori kids who are like this,ive seen just as many isalnd and Pakeha kids around who are goin in the wrong direction. However I think its more about the type of people around these kids then about race.

Nah, Their are alot of good parents out there who sent their kids to good schools, but still turn out to be the worst. Yeah, you are right in saying its not as easy to break out of it, but its not only Pākeha echoing this, Māori are trying to change this too.

I agree.people here say they should wake up and do something with their life.Its not as easy as that.Its like trying to break out of a habit...which isn't easy.Theres no such thing as a bad kid,only bad parenting and a bad education.
